SICK COMIX MINI THEATRE

Alastair Laird runs Sick Comix Mini Theatre, a solo South African comics anthology based in Durban. He has been self-publishing under this name for twenty years, focusing on autobiography, dark humour, and social commentary. His work has also appeared in Charlie Hebdo and Mamba Comix, establishing him as an underground cartoonist in the South African comics scene.

The Sick Comix Mini Theatre special edition collects vignettes as a 100-page A4 comic with colour covers and black and white interiors, priced at R200 with free shipping within South Africa. Laird also published Underground Cartooning, A Manual, a 114-page guide for outsider artists. Both titles are sold directly through the Sick Comix Mini Theatre shop online.
